An oasis in the centre of London, this light and airy artist’s studio was a rebuild of an existing dilapidated structure. The challenge of the 25m tall protected London Plane tree growing 1m from the building was met by creating a curved wall around the tree.
The brief was to create a warm, bright and inspiring place for the client to work in. A harmonious space characterised by natural materials and hand-crafted elements.
“Working with Ben was an incredibly positive experience. Ben renovated and redesigned our summer house/artist studio during his stay in our neighbourhood in London”
“Without knowing the local suppliers, without his normal tool kit and his own car he did an amazing job. Not only did he do an incredible job incorporating all our (mad) wishes, he also never lost sight of the importance for longevity of the structure and the need for of minimising the buildings environmental footprint. Under very adverse conditions (ie a very rainy year),with bottomless creativity, patience, knowledge and passion he created a stunningly beautiful building which has given us pleasure every minute since. With immense gratitude I can only recommend wholehearted Ben and his team”.
